However, not eating for two days straight can be a sign of potential trouble. Also, if your dog or cat is trying to increase their access to food by raiding your refrigerator or cupboards, take them to a vet.
• Eye Appearance- Infections can make your pet’s eye look cloudy or red. Sometimes they can lead to unusual discharge. When you notice these symptoms, act immediately, as eye disease can progress rapidly. Pawing or squinting at one eye can indicate an injury that would also have to be examined by a veterinarian.
• Change in Thirst- Long walks or rigorous exercises can leave your pet extra thirsty. But excessive thirst can be a potential sign of diabetes or kidney disease. Not drinking enough can lead to digestive issues.
• Vomiting- At times, dogs and cats will throw up food that does not agree with their digestive system. It is less concerning for your pet to throw up 2-3 times in 10 minutes in just one day. But if their vomiting is chronic, say, 2-3 times over a few hours, it can be serious.
